The 20th Great Taste of the Grove

The Great Taste of the Grove is a significant annual community outreach event, with the goal of providing two fun-filled days of music, outstanding food, education, and fun for the community of Miami and South Florida. This event has been produced annually for over 20 years by the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce.  With the support of their sponsors the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce is able to produce the largest, single-location, culinary-food event in Coconut Grove!

The Great Taste of the Grove is produced by the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce, which is delighted to contribute to the cultural dynamic of the City of Miami by bringing thousands of people together for two days to experience a diverse exchange of food and music in our beautiful bayside village with our signature winter event, which just completed its 19th season.  

The Great Taste of the Grove is coordinated through the volunteer efforts of a committee of Board and Chamber members headed by Co-Chairs Gary CiucaBoard of Directors Vice President and Vice President - Investments,  Wells Fargo, Coral Gables, and Monty Trainer, President of the Coconut Grove Arts Festival and at-large Chamber board member. Board members Heather Bettner, President of Prince Media Development, is Sponsorship Director, Manuel Alonso-Poch, President of The Arts and Minds Center, Coconut Grove, is Musical Director and Sue McConnell is Director of Volunteers.   Chamber President Anthony Noboa is Director of Event Ticketing.  The all volunteer planning committee also includes board members Mary MacDonald and Mia Stierheim. Event Coordinator is David Guzikowski.

Participating restaurants for 2009 included Monty's Raw Bar, Southern Experience, Al Fresco Ristorante, Sandbar Sports Grill, Chili's at CocoWalk, Los Ranchos at CocoWalk, Smoothie King, Atchana's East West Kitchen, Cita's Italian Chophouse, Charthouse. Bizcaya at Ritz Carlton, Angelo & Maxie's at Mayfair Hotel, Panorama at Sonesta Bayfront Hotel, Mr. Moe's, Jaguar Ceviche Spoon, Sweet Art by Lucilla and Nespresso.

Exhibitors included Coral Gables Acupuncture, Fitness Together, The Miami Herald.
